The elaboration of a project for the bypass road of Petrich will lead to the removal of the transit traffic from the roads III-198 “road II-19, Gotse Delchev – Border checkpoint Zlatarevo / border of Republic of Macedonia /” and III-108 “road I-1 Sandanski Municipality – Petrich “not passing through the territory of the city.
Two design versions of the route of the future bypass are proposed according to the following characteristics – design speed 80 km/h, gauge G10,5 and traffic category – heavy. The first design is 6 km long and the second one is 7.175 km long.
